We recently had a "traveling" mishap that warrants a letter of recognition and praise. A friend and I were traveling on I-40 from New England to Texas when we fueled up with a tank of diesel in Crossville, TN. We experienced an immediate problem. We lost power and our Winnebago View could not negotiate any incline faster than 45mph. Gupton Motors was listed in our brochure. We called and Collin Chapman (the Service Adviser) said he'd take a look. We were able to get to Gupton Motors early in the afternoon on November 8, 2010.
Mr. Chapman had Ronnie Proctor take a look at the Winnebago. It took Mr. Proctor all afternoon to fix our vehicle. It required extensive and very time-consuming repairs. Apparently we had gotten a load of diesel that had gasoline in it. The two of them stayed until 7pm to complete the job. I cannot tell you how courteous, professional, and helpful they were. They both went far and beyond the call of duty and we appreciated their effort. Mr. Chapman even helped us find the station where we had purchased the fuel so we could call and alert them of the issue.
I'd like to add that the vehicle runs beautifully now. Experience is a wonderful thing to have and this establishment is fortunate to have Mr. Proctor. I just wish we lived closer so he could become our regular mechanic.
Again we want to thank Gupton Motors and especially Mr. Proctor and Mr. Chapman.
